Back to business

Sharon Butler picking us up in New Haven

Getting back to business after a weekend of "Social Media: The User-Friendly Tool for Artists," a panel that me, Hrag and Sharon Butler sat on. The button line is community, whether online or in person we are our community. Traditional hierarchies can flatten online, spread out and suck your time.

Favorite quote of the day: “a life in art is an unimaginable and unpredictable experience.” -Sol LeWitt.

Now it's back to the studio and Camp Pocket U.

Below a Camp Pocket U update and note from me and Norte Maar:

A big THANKS to all who managed to vote for Camp Pocket U in it's effort to win a $25,000 project grant from Pespi. Unfortunately we didn't win big corporate support for our free kids summer camp, but no worries, our strength has always been at the grass roots level. We know we can count on your individual vote/support in our efforts to make this free summer program happen!

Our goal is to raise $7,500 to support our two week camp called CAMP POCKET U

$125 provides supplies for an art project for the camp.
$250 brings five kids to camp.
$500 brings an professional artist to Rouses Point to teach for three days.

SUPPORT CAMP POCKET by supporting NORTE MAAR.
